We must never give into despair,
for when in life's darkest moments,
hope is what we give ourselves.
This is the meaning of Inner Strength.

Caring
"Caring about things will bring both joy and pain. Refusing to care will bring neither. That is why one of my greatest fears is that I will stop caring about things."

Trust
We long to be trusted. We desire to be trusted by others because we know that a bond of trust is a bond of friendship.
I find it interesting that our Heavenly Father is so willing to trust us, even though we so easily betray His trust time and time again. Yet He still trusts us anyways. After much pondering I've come to the conclusion that in order to first receive trust, we have to first be willing to give it, or to show our trust in others first.
And yet many of us (including myself) find it hard to trust others, and especially when they have wronged us. So what's the difference in our Heavenly Father's example and our habitual ways?
Our Heavenly Father (of course) has mastered the ability to Forgive and literally Forget.
Trust is a synonymous with Faith; true it feels easier to have trust in God than in others. But unless we're willing to forgive our fellow man (friends, family, acquaintances, and even enemies), we won't be able to properly create and hold onto the several precious friendships/relationships we desire to have with others.
Faith is the first principle of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Trust is the first principle of the Scout Law.
Let us all, with in reason, extend a hand of fellowship and trust to everyone we're able to come into contact with. That we may become as Christ is; who is a friend to all men, without reservation.
